Adriana is a Melbourne based artist. The exploration of people and emotions are strongly themed throughout Adriana's work. The nuisance of facial expression is coupled with stories that subtly lay behind the eyes of the subjects of her paintings.
Not having formal training, allowed Adriana the freedom to discover and explore the use of different mediums and techniques. Experimenting with water colour, gouache, pastels and acrylic, began the journey into developing her own style.
Much of Adriana’s work is based on her own thoughts and observations; emotions, interactions, and the mundanities of life., often with a twist of humour that was inherited from her southern-Italian parents.
All of her work has a story to be told, the foundation of her works often stemming from the intricacies of everyday life while weaving a humorous and intimate fabric into many of her pieces.
